The adventure that is Egypt never ends! That is why it is a shame if you come to Egypt, especially for the first time, and miss the grandiose sites, such as the Pyramids of Giza, Abu Simbel or the west bank of Luxor, to name but a few. There are so many travellers who fly direct to Upper Egypt to see Luxor and Aswan, hoping that they will be stumble across the Pyramids as well, and then they realize that they have to travel 720Km to Cairo, where the Pyramids actually are, and end up paying $400 extra to travel and see one site, which is most probably about half of what they paid for their entire trip!

So my advice for you, dear traveller, is to plan well for your trip before you come. Advance planning is the best way to save time, money and effort, and of course to ensure that you get to see the sites that you have been dreaming about for some time.

There is still so much more of Africa I need to explore yet, it is such a massive continent! It does depend on what you are interested in though. If you want to visit wildlife and animals, I think bostwana is great for doing a safari, and I've also heard that tanzania is good for this too. But if you want rich culture and history, then egypt is a good option. This is one of my favorite destinations. On my list to visit in africa is gambia and ivory coast though

If we're talking tourist escape, it has to be Tunisia on the northern tip for dirt cheap holidays This page on tunisia holidays highlights many of the attractive aspects and reasons people go here so much I think .. It depends on what your tastes are though, it's an Arab country and can be rather touristy, so it's not certainly an all rounder..although I haven't been to anywhere in Africa that would please absolutely everyone

I really can't speak for all of Africa because I've hardly seen any of it when I think about it- but I would like to see the wild in some of the rural areas of Kenya. Egypt is an astounding place rich in ancient history so that's worth seeing.. the people are quite different from different parts, I appreciate the down to earth nature of the rural tribal people in Tanzania..

Hi!
South africa is my favorite african location.Robben Island is the island prison where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned during South Africa's apartheid. Today the island is an fascinating, education museum.South Africa has a rich history with many monuments to commemorate events and people. Museums range from houses of influential figures to buildings that were erected to honor them.
