Train travel Jakarta to Yogya

Has anybody got any advice on some possible stopovers with train travel from Jakarta to Yogya. We are travelling with our 10 year old. have done lots of travel in east Indo and bali and speak conversational B.I. Also anywhere interesting to visit in Jakarta. Thanks Jen and family
