Default An advice for the trip!

Hello, since you have planned the schedule and the way of reaching there, you have done the most arrangements and you are half way through the trip. I would advice that you can check out the rental apartments that are available there for a comfortable stay so that you can have the right accommodation. My friend had been there recently and he was quiet pleased with the stay there.
I hope that you would too enjoy the stay there.

if you're in Paris I recommend you go to a real French café where you can have a coffee and croissants or pain au chocolat (known as "viennoiseries")

and there's just too many nice reastaurants to make a list... French food is known for being really yummy though, especially the wine, cheese and bread ("baguette")

also, don't be scared bythe rudeness of Parisians... but they do appreciate it if as a tourist you make an effort to spaek French, even if it's only a few words...

as regards what you want to see, there's lots and lots to do and it depends what kind of thing you like: museums, parks, architecture, etc....

if you go to The Paris Pages / Les Pages de Paris / Paris.Org / The Web's First Site About The City Of Light / Since 14 July 1994 you can find lots more info

Depending on where you plan to stay during your visit to Paris, it's a good idea to research the area and familiarize yourself with local laws.

Default Some tips for Paris

Here are a few tips for Paris:
1. Hotel - try a site called Lookotel, search engine for hotels in the world - Booking Hotel this reserves directly to the sites of the various hotels thus you avoid the markup fees of some other companies. In most cases it is cheaper.
I personally advise these two: Romantic but cheaper Taylor Hotel this is a hotel on the right bank thus a lot cheaper than left bank. The hotel is nice it is a good 3 star with nice and caring staff who all speak english. It has that slightly better than others feel about it.
Or if you want something that is real luxury but you can't pay the Ritz then go to Hotel de l Abbaye Saint Germain. This hotel is just fantastic. Prices start at 250 EUR but you will just have a totally great time.

2. About french rudeness, look it is frustrating and it isn't just to tourists it is just in general. It isn't really rudeness it is just the way of life. However if you smile at them and try some French or just try to really be polite they normally change and help you. I once did that and the barman was so impressed that even though he didn't sell cigarettes he walked out of the bar got on the street and showed me the way, like just totally got out of his way to help. Funny but it works great.

3. On restaurants and food - hm difficult to advice you. I suggest you ask at the reception of the hotel and tell them your budget, in most cases they will give you some great local advice.

Have fun

Paris has everything a city can offer: sightseeing, monuments, museums, shopping, restaurants, nightlife and sports. It's a nice city too for children with Disneyland Paris and other top attractions.

Is Paris a good place for a honeymoon or anniversary?

Definitely yes. Paris is very romantic.
